Igor Emilievich Feld ( February 21, 1941 , Leningrad - February 15, 2007 ) was a Soviet athlete specializing in pole vaulting . Member of the 1964 Olympic Games. European champion in the room in 1967 [1] . USSR Champion 1967 [2] . USSR Champion in 1965 [3] . Master of Sports of the USSR international class (1965).

Biography
Igor Emilievich Feld was born on February 21, 1941 in Leningrad. He began to engage in athletics in 1954. He trained under the direction of Allan Mikhailovich Notman [4] and Vanadiy Yakovlevich Rosenfeld [5] . He played for the DSO " Zenith " and "Labor." Winner of the USSR championships in 1964 and 1965. Bronze medalist of the 1965 Universiade [6] .
In 1965, Igor Emilevich graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Railway Transport Engineers , then graduate school at the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrumentation . From 1970 to 1977 he was a senior lecturer at the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrumentation. Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (1974) [7] . From 1977 to 1990 he worked as head of the athletics department of the Sports Committee of Leningrad. From 1990 to 1998, he was Chairman of the Athletics Federation of St. Petersburg, from 1998 to 2006 - First Vice-President. Member of the Presidium of the All-Russian Athletics Federation [8] .
Died February 15, 2007 [9] .
Athletics competitions in his memory are held annually in St. Petersburg [10] .
