Biography
Vasily Melnichuk was born on February 18, 1957. In 1979 he graduated from the Odessa Civil Engineering Institute with a degree in Civil Engineering. From 1979 to 1989 he worked in construction organizations in Simferopol. Since 1990, he was the head of the commercial structure.
Judge Career
From 1976 to 1984 he was the referee of the teams of physical education and youth competitions. 1984 to 1991 he worked as an arbiter of the second league of the USSR and in the transitional league, during the same period he was an assistant referee of the first league of the USSR .
From 1992 to 2005 he was the referee of the major league championship of Ukraine . FIFA Arbitrator (1993-2002). Served as the chief arbiter of the Ukrainian Cup finals in 1999 , 2001 and 2002
Since 2000, he was chairman of the Football Federation of Simferopol.
As Inspector and Judicial Observer
In 2006, he began working as a referee at matches of DUFLU and the amateur championship of Ukraine . In 2006-2007 he was an inspector at the matches of the second league of the championship of Ukraine . And in 2007-2008 he was already an inspector at the first league matches . Since 2009, he has been working as an inspector of the Premier and Premier League of Ukraine.
Since 2011, he has been working as a UEFA referee observer.
Achievements
- The best referee of Ukraine (3): 2000, 2001, 2002 .
