Biography

Born May 13, 1913.

In 1937, he began to work as a coach in the Sverdlovsk Regional Council of the JV β€œSpartak” and became a member of the presidium of this society. He was also a member of the Presidium of the Regional Ski Federation . In 1941-1945 - a participant in the Great Patriotic War .

In the second half of the 1950s, he moved to the city of Sysert and began working as a teacher of physical education and a trainer of the ski section at the Sysert children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve "Spartak". Under the guidance of Jacob Ryzhkov, a ski base, verandas for summer health camps and a tent camp were built. Athletes who later became part of the regional team studied at the school: bronze medalist of the 1987 world championship A. Kirillov , USSR champion Nina Lugovyh, European champion [1] Vladimir Alekseevich Saburov [3] , Russian champion L. Kapitonov, Russian champion I Alypov [1] . Yakov Ryzhkov was a coach of Vladimir Saburov [4] , he also trained athletes who became masters of sports: members of the USSR youth team T. V. Emelyanov, M. Bushmanov, Alexei Medvedev, Alexander Babikov, A. Kadochnikov, I. S. Salkin, V S. Sukhanova, T. Bushmanova [5] [6] .

About 40 students of the school became masters of sports.

In 1977, the name of Jacob Ryzhkov was included in the Book of Honor of the Sverdlovsk Regional Council of the DSO "Spartak" [1] . On June 25, 1999, the Youth Sports School of the city of Sysert was named after Ryzhkov Yakov Isaakovich [1] [7] .
