History

Krivoshchekovskaya Street (together with Mostova Street ) was formed in 1893-1894 by residents of the Krivoshchekovsky settlement , which fell into the exclusion zone in connection with the construction of a railway line connecting the bridge across the Ob with the modern Novosibirsk- Glavny railway station. Residents moved their housing from the settlement to a new territory.

Altai district was against the formation of a new settlement, which had no rural status. In addition, a market square was supposed to appear on this place according to the plan. Officials sent settlers letters demanding to leave the territory, but the peasants who settled in a new place replied that they did not have the means to move, in addition, they sought protection from the Tomsk governor and at the same time handed over part of their property to merchants. In May 1894, outlets of such well-known Novo-Nikolaev merchants as Surikov, Mashtakov, the Zhernakov brothers, appeared here, and the Tolokonsky and Rubanovich trading house was opened. There were a total of a dozen outlets.

As a result, officials were not able to eliminate the illegal settlement, and the plan of the market remained unrealized. On the map of the central part of Novosibirsk, it is noticeable that both streets - Krivoshchekovskaya and Mostovaya - differ in layout from other streets [1] .

Transport

Near the Krivoshchekovskaya street there is a tram stop "Bus station (Mostovaya St.)", served by route number 13 ( Pisareva- Gusinobrodskoe highway).
