Krypton is an American television series developed by David S. Goyer and Damian Kindler for the Syfy cable channel. Events of the show will take place on Superman’s home planet , about 200 years before his birth [3] . The premiere took place on March 15, 2018.

Content
Story
In the center of the science fiction series - events that took place on the home planet of a boy with unusual abilities, who became Superman. The action takes place several decades before the death of the planet. Superman’s grandfather, who has believed in the equality of all the inhabitants of the planet Krypton all his life, decides to wage an uncompromising fight against unrest and clear the glorious name of Elov ...

- Georgina Campbell - Light Zod: The stubborn cadet and warrior in the Krypton Military Guild, is in a secret, forbidden relationship with Sag-Al [5] .
- Ian Makelkhinni - Val-El: Sag-El's grandfather, who defied death by going to the Phantom zone and is a staunch supporter of space exploration ideas [6] .
- Elliot Cowen - Daron Wex: Candor's Chief Justice, who is called upon to defend the Krypton elite .
- Ann Ogbomo - Jaina Zod: Head of the Krypton Military Guild and Lait's Mother [7] . Initially, it was reported that the character would be called Alur, as the mother of Supergirl - Aluru Zor-El [8] .
- Rasmus Hardiker - Cam: Sag-Al's engineer and best friend.
- Wallis Day - Nyssa Vex: Junior Judge and Daughter Daron Vex.
- Aaron Pierre - Dev-Em : "Bad for twenty and something years."
- Paula Malcomson - Charis: Matriarch of the House of Eles, who will help her son Sagu break through the treacherous traps and intrigues of the city of Kandor. [9]

Production
In 2014, it was reported that David S. Goyer was developing a series called Krypton [11] . In December 2014, it was confirmed that the series is under development and will be aired on Syfy . It was later announced that the show would be produced by Goyer, and the script for it was written by Ian Goldberg [12] . Goyer initially confirmed that the series will take place approximately 200 years before the time of the film “ Man of Steel ” [13] . But at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con International , Jeff Jones revealed that the series will exist in its own universe. [14]
In May 2016, TV Line reported that Syfy had officially ordered the pilot episode and that Damian Kindler was appointed show manager of the project, Goyer was appointed co-executive producer, and Colm McCarthy would remove the pilot [15] [16] . In June 2016, it became known about plans to begin production of a pilot episode that summer in Montreal. In September 2016, the pilot was filmed in Serbia .
April 18, 2017, the first teaser trailer for Krypton was released; it was also reported that the show will debut in 2017 [17] . However, the following month, Syfy announced the postponement of the premiere for 2018 [18] .
