Vadim Stanislavovich Khersontsev (born July 8, 1974 , Kursk ) is a Russian hammer thrower and athletics coach . Member of the 1996 Olympic Games. Two-time champion of Russia (1996, 2006) [1] . Champion of Russia in winter throwing 2006.

Biography
Vadim Stanislavovich Khersontsev was born on July 8, 1974 in Kursk. From his youth began to engage in hammer throwing. He played for the trade unions. He is a two-time winner and multiple winner of the championships of Russia [2] [3] [4] .
After the end of his sports career, Kherson began to work as a coach. Since 2009, he has been the senior coach of the Russian track and field athletics team in the throwing group [5] [6] [7] .
The highest results among his pupils achieved:
- Valery Pronkin - silver medalist at the 2017 World Championships, champion of Russia 2017 [8] [9] [10]
- Aleksey Zagorny - bronze medalist of the 2009 World Championships, silver medalist of the 2012 European Championships [11] [12]
- Anatoly Pozdnyakov - silver medalist at the 2009 European Youth Championship, multiple winner of the Russian championships [13]
- Oksana Kondratyeva - winner of the European Team Championship 2015, silver medalist of the 2013 Universiade, multiple prizewinner of the Russian championships,
- Alexey Korolev - the champion of Russia in 2014.
