History
The history of the development of the village is closely connected with the formation of the neuropsychiatric hospital named after Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin [2] .
The construction of the Karamzinsky colony of the mentally ill is associated with the name of the Karamzins. The Simbirsk Uyezd Zemstvo in 1881 received a bequeathed by Vladimir Nikolaevich Karamzin (1819-1879), the son of the famous historiographer Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin , with a capital of 125 thousand rubles [3] , which was intended for the construction of a charity institution. After reflection and debate, it was decided to build a colony for the mentally ill with the money received [4] .
In 1893, 10 miles from Simbirsk, a plot was leased for the construction of a future hospital. The director of the hospital was Vasily Aleksandrovich Koposov (1851-1922), who personally participated in the development of hospital building projects. A civil engineer M. G. Alyakrinsky was appointed for the architectural and engineering leadership. Subsequently, all construction was carried out according to the project of the famous architect F.O. Livchak. The construction was carried out mainly by hand, the brick came from the Vyrypaevsky plant and the small local enterprise Mastredeev. [4] [5] .
In 1898, the buildings of the hospital buildings were ready [2] . Simultaneously with the main buildings of the hospital, housing and utility rooms were being built. The first name of the hospital was "Karamzin colony of the mentally ill Simbirsk Zemstvo." In 1898-1899, in connection with the reception of patients from the Alexander Hospital, she made a set of ministers and maids for caring for patients from the nearest villages: Bely Klyuch, Vyrypaevka, Bolshoi Klyuchishch . In the village appeared family residents with children. Having settled down, at a general meeting the workers raised the question of opening an elementary school for their children here. The construction of the hospital was completed in 1901 [4] .
The active construction of residential buildings for workers of the subsidiary farm and specialists began: field crop, gardener, gardener, office premises and a number of others [2] . The church of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir was built [4] .
In 1921, the hospital became the "Soviet Karamzin colony" [4] . It was later called (until 2013) the name "N. M. Karamzin Psychiatric Hospital"
In 1926, a wooden house for kindergarten was built opposite the main building of the hospital [2] .
In 1943, the elementary school was transformed into a seven-year school. By the beginning of the sixties, there was a significant need for the construction in the village of a typical school with 320 seats, which was built in 1963. In 1976, the building of a new kindergarten was built, which housed 4 groups of kids.
In the mid-80s, the village became part of the Zheleznodorozhny district of the city of Ulyanovsk. Until 1985, he was in the administrative division of the Ulyanovsk region with the center - the working village Isheevka .
The main object in the village continues to be the hospital, which since March 1, 2013 received the name GKUZ "Ulyanovsk Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital" [4] . The prefix "named after Karamzin" was removed, although the people continue to call the hospital "Karamzinka".
