Biography
Born July 9, 1937 in the city of Basel , Switzerland . From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as part of the German armed forces. From 1918 to 1922 he studied at the Humboldt University of Berlin . Then he joined the ranks of the Black Reichswehr . From 1923 to 1927 he worked as a journalist in the Deutsche Tageblatt . In April 1927, he joined the Nazi Party and was appointed by Josef Goebbels to be the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Der Angriff . From 1933 he became the chief editor of the daily newspaper of the German Labor Front . In September 1933, he joined the Storm Troops .
On April 1, 1937, Julius Lippert was appointed head of mayor of Berlin; he held this position until July 1940. In 1941, Julius Lippert was transferred to the Wehrmacht Propaganda Company in Belgrade . From May 1943 to August 1944, he was appointed head of the Belgian city of Arlon . After the end of World War II, Lippert was tried on charges of war crimes. The court sentenced him to seven years of forced labor. He died on June 30, 1956 in Bad Schwalbach .
