Born in the family of Andre Thuel and his wife Ann (née Francois).
As a director, he made his debut in 1989 with the short film "Celeste" when he was 23 years old [2] . In 2007, he was nominated for a Cesar Award for Best Original Screenplay for the comedy Jean-Philippe (in collaboration with Christoph Turpin).
