Maria Selena Nurcahya (born September 24 , 1990 ) in Palembang , South Sumatra is an Indonesian model and winner of the Miss Indonesia 2011 beauty pageant ^[1] ^[2] ^[3] ^[4] and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2012 contest . ^[4] ^[5] ^[6] She represented the province of Central Java at the Miss Indonesia 2011 contest. She entered the Top 10 at the Miss Universe contest in the Best National Costume nomination. After participating in beauty contests, she entered the National Women's Basketball League of Indonesia as a player. Maria Selena made her debut at WNBL Indonesia along with Surabaya Fever, who played Merah Putih Predators Jakarta in season two. She graduated from the business department of Bandung Institute of Technology University. Recently, Maria Selena began working with the Persatuan Bola Basket Indonesia and INASGOC, which are preparing the 2018 Asian Games. She is known as an actress and TV presenter.

Miss Indonesia 2011

Selena, whose growth is 1.77, represented the province of Central Java . Selena defeated 37 competitors from 33 provinces fighting for the title. She became the second representative of the Central Java province to win the national competition. The first was Agni Pratishta in 2006.

Miss Universe 2012

Winning the Miss Indonesia 2011 contest, Selena represented Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2012 contest.
