History
XI-XII centuries brought economic and cultural progress, the development of the city, and some defensive structures were rebuilt. In 1045, Shirvanshah Gubad (1043-1049) created a new defensive wall of white stone with iron doors. [one]
During the Soviet period , archaeologists during excavations discovered the walls, the remains of the fortress built by Shirvanshah Gubad in Shemakha.
The second inner fortress of Gulistan was reconstructed in the XII century .
