Geography

It is located in the northern part of the region on both sides of the Orel - Borilovo - Bolkhov highway on relatively flat terrain near the source of the Zlynka river. In the village, a cascade of teleginsky ponds has been preserved - the upper and lower ones, which, in turn, feed the large Kalinovsky pond (near the village of Kalinovka ) and the Snytka stream - the Nugri tributary. To the district center (by road) 19 km, to the regional - 42 km [3] .

Title

The name was derived from the stud farm , founded here in the early 1900s by the representative of an ancient but impoverished noble family Vasily Nikolayevich Telegin. The original name of the settlement - the farm Sophievsky (in common parlance Sophievka). The farm was located two kilometers from the village of Zlyn . The name of the village got its name and stud farm [4] .

History

The first written records of these places belong to 1571 and are associated with historical events in the history of the Russian state. In the spring of 1571, the Crimean Khan Devlet-Girey , having assembled a large army - “one hundred thousand or more soldiers” , invaded the Russian borders . Along the Pork Sakme heading towards Kozelsk , in the middle of May he made a stop “on the Zlynskoye Polye” . Here on Zlyni he was met by fugitives, boyars' children , who fled from the horrors of the Moscow executions of Ivan the Terrible . Deserters “Kudeyar Tishenkov and Okul Semenov, but Kaluzhans Zhdan and Ivan Vasiliev’s children of Yudinkov, ...” and others convinced the Khan of the weakness of the Russian army. Devlet Giray went to Moscow and burned it almost to the ground [3] [5] .

The time of formation of the village is not exactly known. In the lists of populated places of the Oryol province according to the information for 1866 and on the Military Topographic Map of the Russian Empire of the XIX Century ( Schubert's Map) for 1867, the settlement is not indicated. Presumably the farm appeared at the end of the XIX century. The settlement gained fame from the largest horse-breeding center of the Oryol province located here for breeding the Orlov trotters [3] [6] .

During World War II, the village was occupied in October 1941. In the former farmstead house of Telegin a German hospital was located. Released on July 28, 1943. The 356th Infantry Division and the 30th Tank Corps took part in the liberation [7] .

Stud Farm

Main entrance to the stud

The stud was founded by full state adviser VN Telegin (1830-1910) in 1872. It was originally formed in the village of Krutom (now Kolpnyansky district ). In 1880, the plant was transferred to the village of Karpovo, Maslovsky volost, Orlovsky district (now the village of Shchuchye, Orlovsky district ). In 1903 it was located near the village of Zlyn on the farm Sophievsky. Taking up horse-breeding, Telegin turned the plant into the largest and most famous in the Oryol province. After his death, his son, Nikolai Vasilyevich Telegin, continued the work. A mansion was built in the estate (1911) in the Art Nouveau style , stables, riding hall, and a park with cascades of ponds was laid. Nikolai Vassilievich was an adherent of the American trotter , and the mating of the American and Orlov trotters was one of the breeders of the new, more frisky Russian trotter breed . Among teleginskikh pets such legendary horses as Baron Rogers, Iskra, Taloni are known. Nikolai Vasilyevich died in 1917 from a heart attack . According to the stories of the old-timers, he was a "good sir," and the peasants did not ruin his estate. After the October Revolution, the plant was nationalized , and the tribal horses and property were distributed to the peasants. Many members of the breed died or were eaten during the famine years of the Civil War . But some still managed to save the spouse of horse breeder Tatiana Nikolaevna. By the 1930s, the plant was able to be restored, and it received the name "Zlynsky" (No. 15). After the German occupation , only the damaged main manor house and some buildings were left from the factory. He had to be revived a second time. In the 1990s, the plant was again on the verge of extinction. In 2005, the manor was acquired by Moscow businessman Andrei Rappoport . The stud was revived, and the Telegin estate was restored [3] [8] [9] [1] .

Museum

In 2014, the horse breeding museum was opened in the Telegins main house. In the halls of the museum, the most valuable exhibits are photographs of Zlyn trotters and their numerous awards - cups from various competitions and video clips with records of trotting victories at prestigious Russian and international competitions [10] [9] .

Chapel

Next to the manor house on the octagonal foundation of the former pumping station, at the expense of the workers and the owner of the stud, a chapel was built in the name of Saints Flora and Laurus , the patrons of horses. Every year, on August 30, on the day of Flora and Laurus, a holiday is held in the village with a prayer service in the name of the saints [9] .

New time

On September 1, 1989, the Zlynskaya secondary school opened in the village. In 2007, a dairy complex for 1,200 dairy cows was built by the investment company RAO UES on the basis of the agro-industrial complex for growing grain crops of LLC Jupiter by the investment company RAO UES . The village also has an ambulatory (a branch of the Bolkhovsky Central Hospital), a cultural center , a library, and three stores [11] [12] [13] [14] [2] .
