Biography
Irina Gavrilovna Rodionova was born on August 11, 1954. After graduating from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in 1977, IG Rodionova began working at the Department of Steel Metallurgy and High-Strength Alloys at this institute. Has held the positions of engineer and junior researcher. From 1981 to 1984 studied in graduate school. In 1984 she defended her thesis. From 1984 to the present, he has been working in the FSUE "TsNIIchermet named after IP Bardin" . Doctor of Technical Sciences since 2006. Nowadays, TsNIIchermet named after IP Bardin, deputy director of the Center for Physical Chemistry, Materials Science, Bimetals and Special Corrosion Types.
Scientific Activities
The main direction of scientific activity of I.G. Rodionova was the development of scientific principles for obtaining bimetals with a corrosion-resistant cladding layer, the technology of their production, including the method of electroslag surfacing, and the development of the technologies created in practice. The results of the work made it possible to solve the problem of providing the oil producing and oil refining industry with a qualitatively new domestic metal products.
Since the second half of the 1990s, one of the main activities of I.G. Rodion was the study of factors determining the corrosion resistance of steel for oilfield pipelines, heating networks and other types of equipment. It was found that progress in the development of ferrous metallurgy, due primarily to the development and introduction of new technologies for metal smelting and processing, with an insufficiently correct choice of technological parameters can lead to steel contamination with non-metallic inclusions that adversely affect a number of the most important properties of the metal: corrosion resistance , surface quality, fatigue and other characteristics. In particular, studies have shown that the main cause of abnormally high corrosion rates of oil field pipelines, heating networks and some other types of equipment is contamination of steel with non-metal inclusions of a special type introduced into steel during the bucket treatment. Such inclusions are called corrosive non-metallic inclusions (GANV). Special methods were developed and implemented to determine the sources of their occurrence and adjust the technological parameters of smelting and secondary treatment to ensure the purity of the steel for inclusions of this type.
From 2001 to 2004 I.G. Rodionova takes an active part in the development of technology and the development of industrial production of new classes, types and grades of steel sheets. The solution of the tasks required the use of original high-tech approaches. They are based on the possibility of obtaining the required structural state and a given level of steel properties by controlling the processes of formation of precipitates of non-metallic excess phases, the state of solid solution, grain boundaries, forms of presence of impurities at all stages of production. More than 30 new grades of auto sheet steels were created, the production of which was mastered at OJSC MMK and OJSC Severstal . For research in this area in 2013. IG Rodionova was awarded the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology .
Rodionova I.G. The author of 260 scientific papers, including two monographs and 50 patents. A member of the State Attestation Committee in the specialty "Metal science and heat treatment of metals and alloys" in NITU "MISiS" . Under her leadership, defended 10 theses for the degree of candidate of technical sciences. Member of the editorial board of the journal "Problems of ferrous metallurgy and materials science."
