Gennady Nikolayevich Bobok (born June 20, 1941 , Stalingrad ) is a Soviet fencing coach, USSR master of sports , Honored Trainer of the RSFSR [1] , Honored Worker of Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism of the Moscow Region [2] .

Biography
Gennady Nikolaevich Bobok was born on June 20, 1941 in Stalingrad . In 1955, he began to engage in fencing in Saratov . In the period from 1955 to 1960 he played for Trud ( Saratov ), from 1960 to 1972 for Spartak ( Novosibirsk ). In 1963, the athlete was awarded the title of master of sports of the USSR . In 1959 and 1960, he became the champion of the USSR among juniors in the rapier fencing team championship. In 1967, he became an honored trainer of the RSFSR [1] at the age of 26 [3] . In 1973, he began to work as a coach at Dynamo, Moscow Region. In 1974 he became the head coach of the Moscow region fencing team. Among his students - 20 masters of sports [1] . Among the students of Gennady Bobok - Olympic champion Ilgar Mammadov , Stanislav Pozdnyakov [3] .
Family
The eldest son - Vyacheslav Gennadievich Bobok (born 1966) - is a master of sports in fencing and an honored trainer of Russia. Mentor of the two-time world champion in saber Natalia Makeeva .
The youngest son is Maxim Gennadievich Bobok (born 1974) - bronze medalist of the Russian Championship 2005, silver medalist of the European Championship 2005 in the rapier fencing team championship [1] , grandson Alexei Bobok - champion of Singapore in the category from 14 to 16 years old [3 ] .
