Teixerinha began his career in the amateur club “Vila Constantsiu” in 1936 ^[2] . In August 1938, the footballer moved to São Paulo ^[3] . In the main squad, the striker made his debut on October 8 in a match with Sanjoanense ^[4] . In 1941, the player helped the club win its second title in history. A year later, the club took second place, and then win two titles in a row. Teixerinha also helped the team win twice more in a row - in 1948 and 1949.
