Description
Small short-winged bugs. Lengths from 2.75 to 3.02 mm. Antennomers of IX – X antennae almost oval, of equal width and length. The main color is reddish brown. Included in the subgenus Excavodes . Antennae 11-segmented, abdomen of 5 visible tergites. Swivel short, legs adjacent to the coxae. Elytra in basal part with 3 pits. Myrmecophiles are associated with the ants Formica or Myrmica , in whose earthen nests they were found under the roots [1] [2] .
