“Start” is a joint studio album of the New Composers group and the musicians of the Kino group Yuri Kasparyan , Georgy Guryanov and Andrei Krisanov , recorded in Guryanov’s home studio [1] in the spring of 1987 and first released on vinyl in 2015.

Album History
The album was recorded in 1987, when Viktor Tsoi flew to Alma-Ata to shoot the film “The Needle ” [2] , the album “ Blood Type ” was already recorded at that time. On the inner cover of the album it is indicated that the recordings are rehearsal material that did not reach the studio version. The only composition recorded in the studio is “Slush” [3] . The impetus for the creation of the album was the desire of Alakhov and Guryanov to experiment with a drum machine [4] brought by Joanna Stingray [2] . Due to the fact that Alexey Vishnya introduced the musicians to the editor of musical and literary programs Zoe Kravchuk from the House of Radio, they got the opportunity to record samples for the album [5] , for example, the voice of Gagarin [2] . In addition, musical instruments were provided by Sergey Kuryokhin and Andrey Sigle [5] .
It was originally planned to release an album containing 5 music tracks on a record with a rotation speed of 45 rpm. [6] As a result, after Maxim Kondrashov restored and remastered the tracks at Special Session Recordings , the album was released on LP in November 2015 by Imagine Club [7] . The cover of the album depicts a painting by Yevgeny Kozlov (EE) “Love for Space” from the cycle “New Classics” [8] . The album was presented on December 10, 2015 at the Imagine Club store [9] . It was attended by Valery Alakhov, Yuri Kasparyan, Maxim Kondrashov, Zoya Kravchuk, Andrei Tropillo and others [2] . The release of the CD version of the album (with bonus tracks) was released on February 6, 2016 via the Special Session Recordings label [10] . As the bonus tracks, the compositions “Nessy”, “Keep The tempo” and three outbacks with alternative mixes of landscape tracks were used [11] . A 12-page booklet with the history of the album and archival photographs of Yevgeny Kozlov is also attached to the CD edition. On June 22, 2017, the Maschina Records label released a CD version of the album [12] .
