Abu Khattab at-Tunisi ( Arabic: أبو خطاب التونسي ; d. June 10, 2017 ) is the Amir of the Islamic State who commanded the defense of Raqqa from the advancing SDF troops. He was killed on June 10, 2017, just a few days after the start of the battle in a shootout along with 11 other militants [1] [2] in the area of al-Rumania, being at that time the third [3] member of the IG, which is regarded as a serious blow to group [4] .
