Lehteria, Thero

Tero Juhani Lehterä ( Fin. Tero Juhani Lehterä ; born April 21, 1972 , Espoo , Finland ) is a former Finnish hockey player, bronze medalist of the 1994 Olympic Games and a gold medalist of the 1995 World Cup . He is currently the coach of the SaiPa club, serving in the Finnish league .

Finnish hockey player Jori Lehteria , who plays for the Philadelphia Flyers (since 2017), is his nephew .

Sports career

He became the first Finn to successfully compete for the Russian “Neftekhimik” and “Torpedo” (Nizhny Novgorod) in the seasons of 2003-2005, in connection with which the head coach of the Russian team Viktor Tikhonov was included in the expanded list of candidates for the Russian national team [1] .
