Career
Trained in Tula by N.P. Dudchenko in the sports school of the Olympic reserve "Dolphin".
In April 2015, he became a master of sports of international class [1] . In July 2015, he took part in the World Championship, where as part of the Russian four he became vice champion in the mixed relay 4x2km.
In 2017, he became the two-time champion of Russia in marathon swims in fins on the Voronka River near Tula. Roman Smolsky won at distances of 2 and 6 kilometers.
At the 2017 European Championships, he became the champion in the mixed relay, and also won silver in his personal race at 6,000 meters.
