History
In 1929, the formation of the 4th Baltic Sea Air Force Brigade began in the Rowing Port of Leningrad. The brigade included the 62nd OMRAE on the Junkers JuG-1 (TB-2) aircraft, the 62nd OMRAO on the Avro-504 and MP-1 aircraft and the 66th OMRAO on the MP-1 aircraft.
In 1930, the TB-1a float aircraft with torpedo bridges began to come into service.
In 1931, the brigade was armed with several flying boats Dornier Val .
In April 1932, the brigade was renamed the 505th (bomber) aviation brigade.
In 1933, the brigade was again renamed the 105th Aviation Brigade.
By the mid-thirties, MBR-2 aircraft began to arrive at the brigade. In September 1936, the 7th separate aviation unit of three MBR-2 aircraft was formed in the brigade. The railway link was sent to the area of the city of Murmansk, where it was located on the Zelyony metro station, and became the first aviation unit in the Northern Fleet Air Force.
In February 1938, a third of the TB-1a aircraft in the brigade developed a resource, but no new supplies were expected. Also, the deployment of the brigade within the city made it extremely vulnerable to Finnish artillery fire (in the future) and complicated the operation. In this regard, by orders of the Navy NK 0330 and 0331 dated 04/25/1938, the 105th brigade, consisting of the 121st MTBAE, 122nd MTBAE and 19th MRAE was turned to form the 15th naval bomber regiment 8th BF Bomber Aviation Brigade.
After September 1938, the 15th MTBAP was withdrawn from the brigade and reorganized into the 15th separate naval reconnaissance aviation regiment of the BF Air Force. In this form, the regiment met the Winter War (with Finland), and then the Great Patriotic War . Subsequently, the regiment was repeatedly reorganized and renamed, and the glorified military unit as part of the 7054th Guards Novgorod-Klaipeda Red Banner Aviation Base ended its path. Air Marshal I.I. Borzov, where she entered as an assault squadron.
