Geography

The village is located in the south-west of the Kurgan region, at a distance of about 10 kilometers (as the crow flies) to the south-east of the village of Almenevo , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 170 meters above sea ​​level [2] .
The climate is classified as humid continental with warm summer (according to the Köppen climate classification - Dfb ). The average annual air temperature is positive and is +2 ° C. The average temperature of the coldest month (January) is −16.6 ° С, the hottest month (July) is +19.6 ° С. The estimated multi-year rainfall is 397 mm. The least amount of precipitation falls in February (14 mm), the largest amount - in June (70 mm) [3] .

History

In 1932-1933 under the leadership of the manager of the Katai Meat and Dairy State Farm Volovich, an earthen barrack for dwelling was laid on the site of the future village of Yagodny. Then built a base for livestock. In 1934-1935 began to transport houses from the village of Ukrainka and from the empty village of Shadrinka. The first inhabitants were: Salovs, Zaitsevs, Rakhimovs, Ziembaevs, Klepinins. The main occupation of the inhabitants was livestock [5] .

Since 1933 a school has been functioning in the village. Originally located in a house transported from the village of Pure . In 1960, the school was transferred to a new building, and in 1980, an 8-year-old school was opened in a new building.

In 1935, the population increased due to immigrants from the city of Ryazan and the village of Kuzminovka (now Kosulinsky Village Council of the Kurtamyshsky District ).

By the decision of the Kurgan Regional Executive Committee No. 434 of December 9, 1963, № 3 Katayskogo State Farm renamed in the village Yagodnoe.

By the decision of the Kurgan regional executive committee No. 197 dated May 12, 1965, the village of Yagodnoe was transferred from the Paramonovsky village council to the newly formed Yagodninsky village council .

During the years of Soviet power, the inhabitants of Yagodny worked at the Kataysky meat and dairy state farm, then at the Almenevsky meat and dairy state farm.
