Acad, Omer Lutfi

He graduated from the French school named after Joan of Arc and Galatasaray Lyceum . Then he studied economics at the Istanbul Lyceum of Economics and Commerce (later this lyceum became part of Marmara University as one of the faculties). Then he worked in the banking sector. After that he became a director. Films shot in the period from 1948 to 1974. After 1975, shot only for television. Also wrote articles about theater and cinematography. He taught at Mimar Sinan University ^{[4] [5] [6] [7]} .

Died November 19, 2011 in Istanbul. Buried in the Ulus cemetery. Condolences on the death of the director were expressed by President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Erdogan ^[4] .

Director career

Acad's directorial career began with the fact that he had to shoot a film thrown by another director. The full debut of Akad as a director was the film “To Kill the Harlot”, based on the work of the same name by Khalida Adyvar ^[4] .

The best films of the Akada are the trilogy of the films “Wife” ( tour. Gelin , 1973), “Wedding” ( tour. Düğün , 1974), “Sacrifice” ( tour. Diyet , 1975) ^[4] .
