Andrei Terentyevich Chekanyuk (* October 29, 1906 , the village of Kamenka , now Litinsky district, Vinnytsia region - December 22, 1992 , the city of Kiev [1] ) - Soviet party leader hailing from Vinnichina , professor, corresponding member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (since 1964). Member of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the 1st convocation. A candidate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) U in 1938-1952. Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1952-1976.

Biography
Born into a peasant family. In 1921 - 1923 - a mercenary among wealthy peasants. In 1923 - 1925 - a worker of a state farm, a paper mill. Since 1925 - at the Komsomol work.
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1928 .
In 1928 - 1930 - student of the Vinnitsa concurrent school. He was at the trade union and party work.
In 1934 - 1937, he was a student at the Institute of Red Professors.
In 1937 - 1938 - the head of the department, in 1938 - 1943 - the executive editor of the newspaper "Communist" ( "Soviet Ukraine" ).
In 1943 - 1945 - Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CP (b) U. In 1945 - 1946 - Deputy Head of the Department of Propaganda and Agitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) U. At the same time, in 1944 - 1945 - at party work in Transcarpathia .
In 1946 - 1973 - Director, subsequently rector of the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
The author of works on the history of the party, among others, "The Triumph of the Leninist National Politics of the CPSU" (1972).
