Biography
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1931.
In June 1931 he was called up for military service in the Red Army , was sent to military service for the special forces of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b) . He graduated from the Saratov armored Red Banner School of the Red Army in 1932 . Member of the Soviet-Finnish war , for the military distinction in which he was awarded his first award - the Order of the Red Star . By June 1941, he was chief of staff of the 11th Panzer Regiment of the 6th Panzer Division of the Transcaucasian Military District . In the same position in August-September 1941, participated in the operation to send Soviet troops to Iran
In September 1941, he was appointed chief of staff of the 56th tank brigade of the Transcaucasian Military District, which was formed in the city of Vagharshapat, Armenian SSR . Major Baukov participated in the Great Patriotic War in January 1942, when the brigade entered the battle on the Crimean Front . Participated in the fighting on the Kerch Peninsula . Since May 28, 1942 - Chief of Staff of the 137th Tank Brigade on the North Caucasus and Stalingrad Fronts. Since August 1942 - Chief of Staff of the 174th Tank Brigade on the Voronezh Front (on January 2, 1943, the brigade was renamed the 14th Guards Tank Brigade for differences in battles). Since January 16, 1943 - the commander of the 13th Guards Tank Brigade in the Steppe Military District , on the Voronezh and 1st Ukrainian Fronts. From October 29, 1944 he was deputy commander for the combatant unit of the 4th Guards Tank Corps on the 1st Ukrainian Front .
He participated in the Battle of Stalingrad , the Battle of Kursk , the Dnieper-Carpathian , Lviv-Sandomierz , East Carpathian , Wislo-Oder , Lower Silesian , Berlin and Prague offensive operations. Personally showed courage in battles. Over the years of the war he was awarded 4 military orders. Was injured.
After the war he continued military service in the same position, since May 1946 he was deputy commander of the 4th Guards Tank Kantemirovskaya Division . From June 1946 to April 1949 and from May 1950 to September 1953 he was chief of staff of the armored and mechanized forces of the Kiev Military District . In 1950 he graduated from the Higher Academic Courses at the MV Frunze Military Academy . From September 1953 - head of the combat and physical training department of the headquarters of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany , and since September 1954 - head of the combat training department there. Since June 1956 - Commander of the 3rd Combined Arms Army in the GSVG. From December 1959 to October 1963, he was First Deputy Commander of the Baltic Military District .
He graduated from the Military Academy of Armored Forces in 1964. Since July 1964 - First Deputy Commander of the Turkestan Military District . Since August 1967, he has been the chief military adviser to the Algerian People’s Army . Since November 1971, he was at the disposal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces of the USSR , and since May 1972, he was a consultant to the Military Academy of the General Staff of the USSR Armed Forces named after K. E. Voroshilov . Since February 1973, retired.
He was elected deputy of the Supreme Council of the USSR of the 5th convocation.
He died in 1986 in Moscow. He was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery [1] .
