Biography
Born May 13 ( May 26 ), 1904 in the village of Verkhny (now part of the city of Lysychansk ). After graduating from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute in 1930 , he worked in it (in 1943 - 1952 and 1955 - 1972 - rector [1] ).
He was awarded two orders of Lenin , other orders , medals .
He died on October 26, 1975 .
Scientific work
Work in the field of improving technological processes and the use of new types of raw materials to obtain alumina , soda , Portland cement and the like.
Memory
In 1998 , a granite memorial plaque in honor of Professor Alexander Plygunov was installed on the wall of the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the KPI.
