“ I Am Malala ” is an autobiography of Malala Yusufzai co-written with war correspondent Kristina Lamb [1] [2] . Yusufzai is a Pakistani activist who advocates for accessible education for girls around the world, and is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate .

Story
Malala Yusufzai is a sixteen-year-old young girl who loves to go to school, but the Taliban forbids girls to study, punishing disobedience with death. The book tells about the life of Malala itself and the history of Pakistan , which appeared in 1947 and bordering Afghanistan and India . In addition, Malala describes the life of the people around her from the Swat River Valley, the life of her father, Ziyauddin Yusufzay - he is a key figure in the life of Malala [3] .
On October 9, 2012, the school bus, where Yusufzai was located, was stopped by the Taliban, one of them shot three times at Yusufzai. She survived, despite her meager chances, since then becoming a symbol of the struggle for the right to culture and knowledge. In July 2013, Yusufzai delivered a speech at the United Nations .
About the book
“I dedicate this book to all those girls who faced injustice, but, unfortunately, were forced to remain silent. Together we will get to be heard, ”she says in an interview [4] .
The audiobook , recorded by Neela Vaswani, won the 2015 Grammy Award for “Best Album for Children” [5] .
