Russell Falls is a multi-level cascade type waterfall in the region of Mount Field National Park [1] ( Tasmania , Australia ) on the Russell Falls Creek River.

The waterfall consists of two clearly defined cascades, 34 and 24 meters high, so the total height of the waterfall is 58 meters. At 100 meters upstream is another picturesque waterfall called [2] [3] .
The most convenient way to get to the waterfalls is from the Highway ( B61 ) [1] . There are no settlements, alone large ones, in the okrug, only at a distance of 10-15 kilometers are several small villages, for example, (about 250 inhabitants), which is 11 kilometers [4] . Nevertheless, waterfalls are a popular tourist attraction, approaches to them are paved.
Russell Falls, then called Brownings , was discovered around 1856. By 1884, he changed his name to the present, even then he was popular with tourists. In 1885, the waterfall and its environs were declared a natural reserve. In 1899, Russell Falls was chosen as one of eight images for the .
