David Albert Charles Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon ( Earl of Snowdon ; born November 3, 1961 in London ) is a British designer and entrepreneur , a member of the British royal family . As the son of Princess Margaret , he is the nephew of Queen Elizabeth II . Takes the twenty-first place in the succession of the British throne .

Origin
According to his father, Anthony Armstrong-Jones , David belongs to the small Welsh nobility, and through his grandmother, Ann Messel, is a descendant of the German-Jewish banking family of Messel. His mother is Princess Margaret , sister of Queen Elizabeth II . After marrying Princess Anthony Armstrong-Jones, he received the title Earl of Snowdon.
In 1978, David Armstrong-Jones's parents divorced; his father married a year later again, to Lucy Lindsay-Hogg. David has a half-sister, Sarah (born in 1964), the wife of Daniel Chatto, and half-sister Francis (born in 1979), the wife of Rodolf von Hoffmannsthal.
Biography
David Armstrong-Jones was born in Clarence House , attended a closed school in East Hampshire . In 1985, he founded David Linley Furniture Ltd. engaged in the production of exclusive furniture.
During his father’s life, David wore the “ courtesy title ” viscount Linley . In 2017, he inherited the title of Count Snowdon.
Family
Armstrong-Jones has been married since October 8, 1993 to Serena Alaine Stanhope, daughter of Charles Stanhope, 12th Earl of Harrington . In this marriage two children were born:
- Charles Patrick Inigo Armstrong-Jones (born July 1, 1999), Viscount Linley;
- Margaret Elizabeth Rose Aleina Armstrong-Jones (born May 14, 2002).
