Story

Little boy Palle wakes up in Copenhagen in his apartment and discovers that he is left completely alone. Neither at home nor on the street. In the restaurant, Palle tries to cook his own food, but he does not succeed. However, in the pastry shop, he can take whatever he wants. Palle gets on the tram and starts it, driving around the city, until it collides with another car.

The bank is open, Palle sees a lot of money there. He picks up a bag of coins, but then throws them away, because there is no point in them, since there are no people around. Palle examines toys in a toy store and takes the ball. However, he has no one to play with: even a meeting with the monument to the footballer in Fledpark does not bring relief, because he cannot really hit the ball. Then Palle enters the fire department and drives a fire truck around the city.

At the airport, Palle climbs into a plane, and now he flies above the clouds. The plane rises upward and crashes into the moon. Palle, having opened his umbrella, flies down and lands right in his room, finding himself in the middle of the night under a blanket on the floor near the crib. He calls mom and she comes, reassuring the boy. She notices her broken umbrella and asks what Palle did to him. Then she puts her son in and leaves. On the floor of the children's room are visible toys in which Palle played before bedtime: a tram, a fire engine, an airplane, a ball, etc.
