Biography
Born in 1935. In 1959 he graduated from the State Institute of Physical Culture. P.F. Lesgaft , in the same year was awarded the title of Honorary Master of Sports. He was a winner and winner of international and national competitions: the Championship for the prize of the Znamensky brothers (1958-1960), for the prize of Y. Kusochinsky (1959-1961), the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR (1960), the championship of the USSR (1959), and the championships of trade unions of the USSR (1959, 1960) etc.
Subsequently engaged in coaching, scientific and educational activities. He was trained by Honored Master of Sports, European Champion (1974), Olympic silver medalist (1976), world record holder (1974) A. Spiridonov ; USSR champion among youth A. Efimov; Olympic champion (1984), Finland record holder J. Tiainen and other outstanding athletes. In 1975 he was awarded the title " Honored Trainer of the RSFSR ". In the same year he became a laureate of the prize of the USSR Sports Committee as the best coach of the country (1975).
He has the title of Honored Worker of Higher School of the Russian Federation . He was awarded the medal " For Labor Distinction " [2] .
He served as professor of the athletics department of the St. Petersburg State Academy of Physical Culture named after P.F. Lesgaft. He devoted 52 years of his life to teaching.
He died on January 29, 2013 after a serious and prolonged illness at 78 years of age [3] [1] .
Scientific activity
In 1971 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of pedagogical sciences. He was a specialist in the theory and methodology of sports training of highly qualified athletes. Professor (1986). He has published over 150 scientific papers, some of which have been translated and published in Germany , the USA , Japan and other countries.
Member of the Baltic Pedagogical Academy (1994). Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Informatization (1995).
He had 3 copyright certificates for inventions: “A device for assessing the hammer throwing technique by an athlete” (1981), “A device for evaluating the hammer throwing technique” (1982, 1984).
Winner of the USSR Sports Committee Prize for the best research work in the field of physical culture and sports.
Prepared 10 candidates of science [2] .
