Biography
Egor Vlastov was born in 1770 in the city of Constantinople, orphaned, was picked up by Russian sailors during the first archipelago expedition of the Russian fleet .
He was educated in the Greek Corps; released by the second lieutenant into the Estland Jäger Regiment [ specify ] , entered the rowing fleet, operating, under the command of Prince Nassau-Siegen , against the Swedes; when this fleet was defeated by the Swedes, Vlastov, with other officers, made his way through the ships of the enemy on the longboat and safely left the pursuit, for which he was promoted to assignment [2] .
In 1792, Vlastov, having joined the army operating in Poland (see the Russo-Polish War (1792) ), participated in battles: on June 25 at Paschug, on the 29th at the town of Zelve, where, commanding the arrows, he knocked the enemy out of position and took possession of two bridges, which greatly facilitated the crossing of General Ferzen ’s corps; July 21 cap. Vlastov fought near Brest-Litovsk [2] .
On June 8–9, 1794, he fought near Vilna and on June 31 stormed the city itself [2] .
In 1795, Vlastov was transferred to the St. Petersburg Grenadier Regiment [2] .
In 1806, Major Vlastov was ordered to form 24 jaeger regiment; appointed by his commander, he participated with him in the battle of Pultusk, then in the battles at Preisisch-Eylau and Heilsberg; in the latter he was shell-shocked [2] .
December 12, 1807 Vlastov was promoted to colonel and appointed chief of the 24th Jaeger Regiment; commanding him, Vlastov took part in the war with the Swedes in 1808, especially distinguishing himself in the battle of Karstula , for which he was awarded the Order of St. George, 3rd degree, No. 193

This battle was called “officer affairs”, since the officers of the Vlastov detachment, inspired by his outstanding courage, for 18 versts, chasing step by step the enemy detachment of Colonel Fyandt, fought ahead all the time, competing in courage with their commander [2] .
In 1812, Vlastov commanded part of the rearguard in the case of Count Wittgenstein and, for the difference in battles at Yakubov, Klyastitsy and Golovchitsa, was promoted to major general [2] .
During the defense of Polotsk, E. I. Vlastov occupied the Spassky Monastery and held it to the last possible opportunity against the superior forces of the enemy, for which he was awarded a golden sword with diamonds. Count Wittgenstein then entrusted him with the entire rearguard of his corps, with which Vlastov defeated General Wrede’s Bavarian corps at the Belyi court on August 10; for this matter Vlastov was awarded the Order of St. Anne of 1 degree [2] .
On October 7, Vlastov took part in the assault on Polotsk, commanding the head detachment of Count Wittgenstein's corps. On October 11, sent with a detachment of 5,000 men and 14 guns to monitor the MacDonald corps, Vlastov occupied the gorges between Druya and Bratslav and burned all the enemy’s food supplies [2] .
On November 11, in the battle at the village of Uznizetsk, Vlastov’s detachment captured 1,500 French soldiers; after the battle near the Batury of Vlastov, together with General Harpe, pursuing the rearguard of Victor on the way to the Bobru River, he captured 27 officers and 400 lower ranks [2] .
After the battle of November 15 near Old Borisov and 16 on the banks of the Berezina, Vlastov’s detachment captured 58 officers, more than a thousand soldiers and 10 guns [2] .
In 1815, Vlastov participated in the battles of August 14 and 15 near Dresden; On August 18, commanding the rearguard of Count Wittgenstein, he kept the pressure of the Marmont corps at the village of Zinwalde [2] .
In the battles of August 28 and 29 near Don, he commanded the infantry of the vanguard of Count Palen; September 1-3 near Peterswald Vlastov commanded the right flank of the 5th division [2] .
On October 4, near Leipzig, commanding 23 and 24 jaegers and Kaluga infantry regiments with 12 guns, Vlastov withstood strong attacks of superior enemy forces. October 6, fought at Libertwolkwitz [2] .
Further, Vlastov participated in the pursuit of the enemy through Westphalia and Württemberg and besieged the city of Strasbourg [2] .
In the campaign of 1814, Vlastov, as part of Count Wittgenstein’s corps, fought at Bar-sur-Ob, at Troyes, Arsis-sur-Ob, Ferschampenoise and, finally, on March 18 near Paris, when, in front of Emperor Alexander I, with regiments The 3rd division of Prince Shakhovsky attacked the Montlui cemetery and, despite the desperate resistance of the French, took up a position and captured 8 guns. For this difference Vlastov was promoted to lieutenant general [2] .
Upon returning to Russia, he consistently commanded: 5th, 14th and 6th Infantry Divisions; with the latter, he made a trip to Silesia after the flight of Napoleon from the island of Elba [2] .
Then Egor Ivanovich Vlastov lived in the village of Knyazhev, Vladimir province, where he died on January 29, 1837 [2] . (Now this is the village of Yegoriy, 14 km from the city of Ivanovo, Ivanovo Region. Recently, the tombstone on the grave of Vlastov was restored. The St. George Church, built during his lifetime, is still in a deplorable state).
