Biography

Born into a peasant family. He graduated from the village parish school. In 1918, as a 19-year-old youth, he volunteered for the Red Guard, later on as a member of the Red Army , and participated in the Civil War of 1918-1922. , at the end of which he continued military service in the ranks of the Red Army. He graduated from courses of red commanders, becoming a personnel officer of the infantry - the commander of a rifle regiment.

In the period from June 22 to August 14, 1941 in the army — the commander of the 898th Infantry Regiment of the 245th Infantry Division : 06/22/19/1941 - on the border with the Lithuanian SSR; 08/09/1941 - near Shimsk ; 13-14.08.1941 - near Novgorod , where he was injured of moderate severity (08/14/1941); according to family memoirs, he removed from the encirclement the regiment, which he commanded, retaining personnel.

In February 1942, commanding the 349th Kazan Rifle Regiment of the 26th Rifle Division [1] , he participated in the Demyan operation , when on February 20, 1942, the encirclement of the Nazi group of Nazis was closed. Since March 25, 1942 - as part of 26 SD, advanced to the eastern bank of the Lovati River, in battles for the so-called Ramushevsky corridor. After a lull from November 30, 1942 to February 1943 - again on the offensive on the Ramushevsky corridor; in August 1943 - in the attack on Staraya Russa .

For the exemplary performance of the combat mission of the command on the front of the fight against the German invaders and the valor and courage shown at the same time, he was awarded government awards: the Order of the Red Star (order of June 24, 1942) and the Order of the Red Banner (order No. 01066, 08/29/1942) [2] [ 3]

Later he participated in the Starorussko-Novorzhevskaya offensive operation , the liberation of the Hill , Bezhanitsa , Novorzhev , Pushkin Mountains , forcing the Great River , in taking the city - the Koenigsberg fortress . After the defeat of Nazi Germany and the end of the Great Patriotic War in 1945, he was placed at the disposal of the General Staff and in 1946 he was appointed to the leading position of the Novosibirsk Military Infantry School , where he served for 12 years. To disband the school in 1957, he retired, left and settled with his family in the city of Manganese, Dnipropetrovsk region of the Ukrainian SSR.

He died on November 5, 1961 in the city of Manganese, Dnipropetrovsk region, was buried in the city cemetery.
