Zablotska, Wanda

Wanda Zablotskaya ( Polish. Wanda Zabłocka , nee Heitzman , December 20, 1900 , Tarnow - November 30, 1978 , Torun ) - Polish botanist, mycologist, phytopathologist. Professor at the University of Nicholas Copernicus .

She studied at the Faculty of Philology of the Jagiellonian University , in 1945 she defended a thesis on mycorrhiza in the genus Viola . She also monitored mycorrhiza in gastroomycetes . In 1946 she settled in Torun and began working at the University of Nicholas Copernicus, in 1954-1970 - with the rank of professor.

Author of publications on hat mushrooms in Poland ( Grzyby kapeluszowe Polski 1949), parasitic mushrooms ( Grzyby pasożytne 1950).

Her husband, (1894-1978) is also a botanist.
