Biography

He made his debut in the Yerevan “Ararat” on September 12, 1975 at the age of 17 in a guest match of the 22nd round of the USSR Championship against “Chernomorets”. Five days later he spent the only match in European competition - in the home match of the 1/16 Cup winners' cup against the Cypriot Anorthosis (9-0) he came on as a substitute in the 80th minute. For five years in “Ararat” he played 46 games. Before the 1980 season he was watching in the Moscow Torpedo . [2] Since 1982, Abovyan has been on the team of the Kotayk second league, with which he entered the first league in 1984. For seven years in 245 matches he scored 15 goals. In 1990-1991 he played for the teams of the second lower league “Impulse” Dilijan and “Syunik” Kapan . In 1992-1994 he played in the championship of Armenia for “Banants” Kotayk .

In 1995-2003 he worked as a coach in clubs in Armenia, in 2000 he was in the coaching staff of the Armenian team . [3]
