Content
Story
The action will unfold 7 years after the events of the original game , in a "dangerous world where the gods, beasts and the last people fight for survival."
Gameplay
The game "combines fierce hand-to-hand fighting and rich Scandinavian mythology." The player will have to swear allegiance to one of the gods: what abilities the main character will receive will depend on the choice. In the future, users will attack enemy villages, fight the undead and explore new lands. In addition, the company promises to add a crafting system to the project. [3]
Development
At the end of August 2018, the developers announced that the game will appear in Steam early access on September 19, 2018 [4] . In addition to the main storyline company, corporate PvE missions as well as PvP battles will be available to players in early access. On September 17, 2018, developers reported that the game’s early access was postponed to the 1st quarter of 2019.
In April 2019, developers announced that they would release the full version of the game before the end of the year [5] . It was decided to refuse the release of the game in early access. In May 2019, the developers announced the name of the game: Rune 2 [6] and announced the approximate release date of the game: summer 2019. Then it was announced that the game will be sold exclusively in the Epic Games Store .
