Club career
Rubio is a graduate of the Kolo-Kolo club. In 2006, he made his debut for the main team in the Chilean Example . In 2007, in order to gain playing practice, Patricio on a leasehold moved to Newblens , but never made his debut for the team. In 2009, Rubio left Chile and played in the third division of Argentina for the Rivadavia club in a season. In 2010, he returned to his homeland, where he played for Iberia Los Angeles and Barnechea . As part of the latter, Patricio became the top scorer of the Chilean Examples B.
In the summer of 2012, Rubio moved to the Hispaniola Union . On July 7, in his match against Audax Italiano , he made his debut for a new team [2] . In the same match, Patrio made a “double”, scoring his first goals for the “Espanyola Union”.
In the summer of 2013, Rubio signed a contract with Universidad de Chile . The transfer amount amounted to 1.6 million euros. On August 10, in his match against Cobresal , he made his debut for a new club [3] . In the same match, Patricio scored his first goal for Universidad de Chile. In his debut season, he became one of the team's top scorers. In the same year, Rubio helped the club win the Chile Super Cup . In 2014, in the match of the Copa Libertadores against the Paraguayan Guarani , he scored a goal [4] . In early 2015, Patricio moved to the Mexican Queretaro . On January 17, in his match against Leones Negros , he made his debut in the Mexican Example [5] . On February 14, Rubio scored his first goal for Queretaro in a duel against Cruz Azul [6] .
In the summer of 2015, Patricio returned to Universidad de Chile in search of playing practice and helped the club win the Chile Cup . In early 2017, Rubio on a loan basis moved to Dorados de Sinaloa . On January 8, in his match against Tampico Madero , he made his debut in the Assenso League [7] . A week later, in a duel against Lobos BUAP Patricio scored his first goal for the “Dorados de Sinaloa” [8] . On February 5, in a duel against Venados , he made a hat-trick [9] . At the end of the season, Rubio helped the club reach the elite.
In the summer of 2017, Patricio was leased to Everton from Viña del Mar. On July 29, in his match against Deportes Iquique , he made his debut for a new team [10] . On 6 August, Rubio scored twice in a duel against San Luis Quillot , scoring his first goals for Everton [11] .
Since 2019, he has been playing for Universidad de Concepcion . On March 6, 2019, Rubio scored four goals against the Peruvian Sporting Crystal in the group stage match of the Libertadores Cup . Universidad de Concepcion eventually won with a score of 5: 4 [12] .
International Career
On January 19, 2012, in a friendly match against the national team of Haiti, Rubio made his debut for the national team of Chile. [13] In the same match, he scored his first goal for the national team.
