antiX - lightweight LiveCD - Linux distribution , created on the basis of Debian and focused on outdated equipment with Intel processors - AMD x86 [2] . It is relatively lightweight and suitable for older computers, and also provides advanced kernels and applications, updates and additions through the apt-get package system and repositories compatible with Debian [3] .

Hardware Requirements
- Recommended: 256 MB of RAM and 1 GB of free hard disk space .
- Minimum: 128 MB of RAM and 1 GB of free hard disk space.
- Installation: 2.7 GB on the hard disk [4] .
In addition to the standard Live release, other versions of antiX (basic and sound) are available, allowing you to install with even less RAM, hard disk space, and general hardware limitations.
Editions
antiX is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures and comes in 4 editions [5] :
- Full , includes 4 window managers - IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm and herbstluftwm plus a full set of LibreOffice.
- Base , includes 4 window managers - IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm and herbstluftwm (placed on CD).
- Core , no X, but supports most wireless devices.
- Net , no X. Allows the user to have full control over the installation, a network connection is required.
In 2014, antiX MX appeared, developed in collaboration with the MEPIS community. It uses Xfce as its default graphical shell , based directly on the Debian Stable, it is very stable and provides solid performance on the medium side. As of November 2016 , MX Linux is now a standalone distroWatch distribution [6] .
Version History
antiX is a Linux distribution originally based on MEPIS that is based on Debian Stable. First, he replaced the MEPIS KDE desktop environment with the Fluxbox and IceWM window managers, making it suitable for older, less powerful x86-based computers. Unlike Debian, antiX is “proudly systemd-free” [7] . systemd does not support older hardware well because of its virtualization-based development.
