Story
Once at the hotel, Colonel Nashatyrina lived with her daughters. At this time, headquarters captain Kikin lived in the next room. Kikin's loud and obscene speeches infuriated the colonel. He found the owner of the hotel and began to complain to the staff captain: “Either give me another number, or I will completely leave your damned rooms!” This is a nativity scene! Have mercy, my daughters are adults, and here you hear only abominations day and night! What does it look like? Day and night! Sometimes he will blur such that his ears just wilt! Just like a cabman! It’s good that my poor girls don’t understand anything, or at least run to the street with them ... He’s saying something now! Listen to me! ”
The unmarried daughters of the colonel, Lilya and Mila, hearing these conversations, looked downcast. The colonel scolded Kikin in different ways. The innkeeper also complained about the guest. He said that he "wakes up in the morning and let's walk along the corridor in one, sorry, lower. And then he will take the revolver in a drunken state and let's put the bullets into the wall. During the day, the cracker cracks, at night it cuts into cards ... And after the cards, a fight ... ” However, he cannot evict him, because despite the decision of the justice of the peace to evict him, he filed an appeal and cassation. However, the owner gave Kikin the following characterization: “Young, handsome, mental ... When not drunk.”
The colonel regretted Kikin’s wife, but then found out that he was not married. This news made her think, remember that she was not married to her daughter. She asked the owner to remind Kikin about his behavior and say that she lives in the next room. But she asked her daughters to dress better just in case - maybe their fate will be decided here.
