Biography
He grew up in the midst of ashug assemblies and from a young age joined the playing of folk instruments and ashug skill.
Having received the ashug initiation under the name Sheram (from Armenian - “silkworm”), Sheram became famous throughout Armenia as one of the best Armenian performers of his time.
After the establishment of Soviet power in Armenia, the work of Sheram reached a new level, which increased the number of organizations of his creative evenings. Sheram performed his works in Yerevan , Baku , Kars , Tbilisi , Etchmiadzin, Astrakhan and others. [1]
Among his famous and beloved works among the people are “Kezanits mas chunim” (I have nothing from you), “Sirunner mik nehan ...” (Beautiful, do not be offended), “Mi bala e” (Beauty), “On naz uni” , “Dun im musan es ...” (You are my muse), “Sarer kahachem” (I beg you, mountains), “Shoror”.
The song “Ibrev Artsiv” (Like an Eagle), dedicated to the national Armenian hero Andranik, also gained special popularity.
