Turlava ( Latvian. Turlava ) - a settlement in the Kuldigskom region of Latvia . The administrative center of Turlav volost . Located on the regional highway P112 ( Kuldiga - Aizpute - Lichi ). Kuldiga is about 25 km away [1] . According to the data for 2017, 289 people lived in the village [2] . There is a volost administration, an elementary school, a house of culture, a library, a doctor, a shop, a Lutheran church.

History
Previously, the village was the center of the Lipayka estate (Lipayken).
In Soviet times, the settlement was the center of the Turlavsky village council of the Kuldigsky district . The central estate of the Dzintars collective farm was located in the village [1] .
