Content
Club career
Salas is a pupil of Kolo-Kolo . In July 2017, he, being one of the key players in the club team under 19 years old, helped her win the national championship in his age category [4] . Salas was noticed by the head coach of the club's club, Pablo Gede, who, before the start of the Chilean championship in 2017, transferred the young striker to the main team and allowed him to play in several pre-season matches [2] [5] . Salas took the 26th number, under which his idol Umberto Suaso played. On July 31, 2017, Luis made his debut for Colo-Colo in the Chilean championship in a duel against Deportes Antofagasta , to which he entered the starting lineup and was replaced in the 62nd minute by Nicolas Maturana [6] .
For most of 2017, Salas played for the youth squad and helped him win the Chile Championship among players under 19 years old. In February 2018, he was the captain of Kolo-Kolo at the Libertadores Youth Cup, where he scored two goals in three games [7] . On February 23, Salas was leased to the Deportes Antofagasta club for the rest of the season [8] . He made his debut in the new team on April 7 in the match Examples from Uachipato . On May 5, he scored his first goal on a professional level, opening an account in the match against Deportes Temuco [9] .
Team appearances
In September 2015, Salas was included in the application for the Chile U-17 team for the home soccer world championship among junior teams in 2015 [10] . In the tournament, he played only one match, in the group stage against the team of Nigeria [11] .
