Content
Geography
The village is located on the banks of the Koloksha River , 10 km northeast of the center of the village of Vorsha and 19 km northeast of the district center of Sobinka .
History
In the middle of the XIX century, Yurino ( Smolensk ) was considered a village with an Orthodox church, in 1859 [2] there were 28 courtyards in it. In 1905 [3] as part of the Oderikhinsky volost of Vladimirsky district there were two villages Staroe Yurino (to the north) - 50 yards and New Yurino - 35 yards. Since 1926 [4] both villages were part of the Stavrov volost , in Stari Yurino there were 48 households, in Novo-Yurino - 32.
Since 1929, both villages were part of the Teterinsky Village Council of the Stavrovsky District , since 1932 - as part of the Sobinsky District , since 1945 again in the Stavrovsky District , since 1965 the village of Yurino as part of the Babaevsky Village Council of the Sobinsky District , since 2005 - as part of the Vorshinsky Rural settlement .
