Kochanov (in some chronicles Kopanov, Konanov [1] ) - Pskov power posadnik .
Under him, in 1458 , the Pskovs beat old posadniks at the meeting as the perpetrators of acquisitive crimes in the bread trade. In 1463 Kochanov defeated the Germans, in 1465 he settled strife between Pskov and Novgorod “about the land and water that the Pskov people had taken from Novogorod”. In 1466 he traveled to Moscow to ask the Grand Duke in the Pskov governors or the princes of Ivan Strygu-Obolensky or Fedor Yuryevich (Patrikeev), and the grand duke let the latter go to Pskov .
In 1474 he again went to Moscow to ask the Grand Duke for protection against the Germans. In 1476 , on the instructions of Pskov, Kochanov put the city of Gorodets near the r. Lodi in the Kokshinsky volost, and in 1478 the Pskov detachment sent him with an army to help Ivan III against Novgorod; in this service he died.
