It runs from east to west from Godovikova street to Chelyuskin street by going to Shaturskaya street. It intersects with the streets of Godovikov , Malaya Pecherskaya, Lukin , Leningradskaya , Chapaev, Chelyuskin and Shaturskaya.
History
Simonova Street was established in accordance with the Decree of the Head of the Administration of Kazan No. 741 dated April 8, 2005 “On the perpetuation of the names of the participants of the Great Patriotic War in the names of the streets of Kazan” by renaming the section of Shaturskaya Street from Godovikova Street to the intersection with Chelyuskin Street . [one]
Named in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union , Colonel of the Air Force, World War II participant Mikhail Vasilievich Simonov ( 1913 - 2004 ).
A memorial plaque with inscriptions in Russian and Tatar was placed on house No. 6 on Simonov Street: "The street is named after Mikhail Vasilyevich Simonov / Hero of the Soviet Union / Colonel of the Air Force / Participant of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." Subsequently, it was replaced by a new plaque with a portrait of M. V. Simonov, which is currently located on the building of secondary school No. 62 of the city of Kazan .
The historical building of the street was practically not preserved.
