Contribution to Political Theory
Contribution to Ideology Theory
Frieden proposed a fundamentally new approach to the analysis of ideologies. For him, the fundamental question determining political thinking is not how abstract ideas are defined in one or another ideology (for example, social equality), but how they are interconnected, that is, hierarchically organized in ideology [2] . Moreover, the central object of research is the concept (concept), which goes back to the concept of essentially disputed concepts . Ideologies, the basic concepts of which are hierarchized by the potential for variability and the level of consideration, are thus studied through the decontestation of these concepts [3] .
The main modern ideology to which Frieden applied his analysis is liberalism.
