The light and music fountain in Yaroslavl is a new attraction in the capital of the Golden Ring of Yaroslavl . This is a round light and music fountain with the release of individual jets up to seven meters in height. The light and music show takes place twice a day from 21:00. The fountain is the only pedestrian in the city - people can take walks right around the fountain, and jets hit from the ground.
Musical accompaniment to the fountain was chosen by the residents themselves. To do this, public opinion polls were held on social networks and on the official website of the regional government. Residents spoke in favor of classical works [1] .
The opening took place on August 1 [2] . The ceremony was conducted by theater and film actor Mikhail Asankin. As part of the event, the Yaroslavl pop-music orchestra named after V. N. Pavlushov and the ballroom dance ensemble "Constant" [3] .

Location
It was erected in the center of Yaroslavl on the Youth Square near the Theater of the Young Spectator next to the fountain of 1983, which was recognized as emergency and dismantled. Now in its place flowerbeds are broken.

Features
Belongs to the pedestrian type of fountains. The diameter of the bowl is 18 meters, the height of the jets is 7 meters. During the musical performance, 12 tunes are played: works by Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Dunaevsky, Khachaturian and other famous composers.
