The temple-tower complex consists of three levels, the highest of which covers two rows of towers. The main tower has a height of about 25 m.
The central image of the temple is a stone statue of the goddess Po Nagar , 1.2 meters high, sitting cross-legged, dressed only in a skirt, with ten hands holding various symbolic objects. Another sculpture of the goddess can be seen on the pediment above the entrance to the temple: it depicts a four-armed goddess with an ax, lotus and a club, standing on a buffalo. This sculpture belongs to the Trey-Kiyo style in the Cham style of the late X - early XI century.
According to the Sanskrit inscription of the Tyam king Satyavarman , in 774 "very black and skinny people who arrived from black countries on ships destroyed the temple of the goddess Po Nagar in Nha Trang and stole the linga " [1] . We are talking about the looting of the temple by the Javanese and Malays.
The Vietnamese, having conquered Tampa, accepted the goddess Po Nagar under the name Thiên YA Na. and continued to worship her in her temple in Nha Trang.
