Scientific Activities

V.A. Saechnikov is one of the organizers of research in the physics of laser, waveguide and fiber-optic devices and devices. They have formed and successfully developed important scientific areas in the fields of optoelectronics, including biomedical devices and devices and microbiological nanosensors, GIS-oriented expert systems, methods and means of information protection, satellite information and telecommunication systems that are of both fundamental and applied importance. Under the leadership of V.A. Saechnikov, two PhD theses were defended, a number of research and development projects were carried out on inter-university programs, the Foundation for Basic Research, SCST projects, projects carried out in the programs of the Union State, international projects. Under his leadership, developed: high-performance resonators of a new generation of high-power waveguide lasers, highly sensitive methods for detecting spatially distributed exposure to fiber-optic sensors, hardware and software for non-invasive medical diagnostics, as well as sensors for biomedical diagnostics based on optical resonance in dielectric microspheres. In the field of information technologies, GIS-oriented ones were developed: a system of operational control of the flood situation in the catchment areas of 5 major rivers of the Republic of Belarus, an automated early warning and emergency warning system at enterprises of the Belneftekhim concern, a system for monitoring the state of hydraulic structures and fire-hazardous objects, geo-information systems of National Parks: Belovezhskaya Pushcha, Braslav Lakes and Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, as well as document protection software. comrades and securities for enterprises of Goznak RB and others. Currently, V. Saechnikov is the head of the subprogramme “Creating a system of professional aerospace education” of the National Program for the Study and Use of Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes for 2008–2012, the head of a number of research and development in the framework of international projects, programs of the Union State "Cosmos NT", "Nanotechnology SG", state programs "Photonics", "Convergence", "Space Research", "Reducing risks from an emergency." He is the organizer and director of the Center for Aerospace Education of BSU. The results of his scientific studies are published in more than 260 publications, including 8 inventor certificates for inventions and 4 software products. He pays great attention to the development of the education system in higher education, having more than 20 educational and methodical publications, including 2 lecture courses (1 with the Ministry of Education) and the integration of education, science and production, which consists in interaction with institutions of the National Academy of Sciences, industrial enterprises of Belarus, Universities and organizations of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Germany, Poland, China, Syria. He is the scientific secretary of the specialized council D 02.01.14 and a member of the specialized council D 02.01.10 at BSU.
