Club career

Villalobos began his career at the Kolo-Kolo club. In 1997, he made his debut in the Chilean Example . A year later, Manuel helped the club win the championship . Villalobos did not always make it to the main squad, and therefore, to get playing practice, he played on loan for Arturo Fernandez Vial , O'Higgins and Deportes Naval . In 2002, his contract with Kolo-Kolo expired and Manuel, as a free agent, signed an agreement with Deportes Iquique . In the new team, he immediately became the leader and her top scorer, scoring 20 goals in two seasons. After a successful performance, Villalobos went to Europe, became a player of the Portuguese Dragos Shelactos, but quickly returned to his homeland, due to difficulties with adaptation.

The second half of 2003 and the next year, Manuel spent speaking for the clubs of the lower divisions of San Marcos de Arica and Deportes Copiapo . In the same year, in the matches of the Copa Libertadores Cup against the Brazilian Cruzeiro [3] and the Bolivian Aurora , Manuel scored a goal. In early 2010, Villalobos moved to Huacipato . In his match against San Luis Quillota , he made his debut for a new team. In the same match, Manuel scored his first goal for Uachipato. On August 8, 2010, in a match against Santiago Wanderers , he made a hat-trick [4] . For three seasons, Villalobos was the top scorer of Huacipato, and in 2012 helped the club win the championship .

In early 2013, Manuel returned to the Deportes Iquique. In matches of the Copa Libertadores against Ecuadorian Emelek [5] [6] , Argentinean Veles Sarsfield [7] and Uruguayan Peñarol [8] he scored four goals. In the same year, Villalobos helped the club win the Chile Cup . On April 20, 2017, he scored a goal in the Libertadores Cup match against the Venezuelan Zamora [9] .

International Career

In 1997, as part of the youth team of Chile, Villalobos took part in the youth world championship in Egypt . On January 20, 2013, in a friendly match against the national team of Haiti, Manuel made his debut for the national team of Chile [10] .
